Proper hearing aid selection and fitting is highly dependent on the judgment and skill of the professional selecting the instrument. Dr. Jennifer Elfert has the knowledge, skills and bedside manner that many medical professionals are lacking.

Dr. Jennifer Elfert, Audiologist

Audiologists evaluate and treat hearing loss, tinnitus, balance, and related disorders. They also recommend and provide appropriate treatment, including hearing aids, audiologic rehabilitation, and hearing-assistive technology. As an audiologist certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and American Academy of Audiology, Jennifer Elfert is licensed in both NJ and NY. Her areas of specialty include the assessment and treatment of hearing disorders and tinnitus.
Jennifer's educational background includes Bachelor' and Master's degrees from Hofstra University and a Doctor of Audiology degree from the University of Florida. Jennifer is always looking to grow educationally and is now enrolled in an MBA program. She started out practicing at a well-known ENT office on the Upper East Side. After moving to New Jersey, Jennifer began working in a private practice in Englewood and later joined JFK's Neuroscience Center in Edison, where she fine-tuned her skills evaluating balance disorders. From there, she joined Kimball Medical Center in Lakewood, where she stayed until opening her practice here in Howell, New Jersey.
Jennifer has a particular interest in the rehabilitation of hearing loss, a subject about which she taught for a number of years as an adjunct professor at Yeshiva University's Stern College for Women in New York City. Other areas of interest include tinnitus and balance disorders.
As a practicing audiologist, Jennifer takes special pride in listening to what her patients have to say. A positive doctor-patient relationship is a partnership, and when it comes to the treatment of hearing disorders, that makes all the difference.
Dr. Marci Schwab, Audiologist

Dr. Marci Schwab’s career began with a Bachelor's degree from Queens College ('95), a Master's degree from Hunter College ('97) and finally, a Doctor of Audiology degree obtained from Salus University in PA (2009). Marci started her passion for audiology in a private practice in Brooklyn, NY and then transferred to practicing medical based audiology in hospital settings such as Elmhurst Hospital Center in Queens, NY and St. Vincent's Hospital in Manhattan. Although born and raised in New York, she relocated to NJ in 2002 and joined the audiology team at JFK's Neuroscience Center in Edison, NJ as a contracted audiologist at Saint Peter's University Hospital where she practiced audiology for 8 years. Following her time with St. Peter's, Marci worked at Kimball Medical Center in Lakewood, NJ until coming to this practice. She has been working with Dr. Elfert since December 2009. Marci's varied occupational settings have allowed her to obtain vast experience in the diagnosis and treatment of auditory disorders for individuals of all ages, from infancy to the geriatric population. As both a NJ licensed audiologist and hearing aid dispenser, her knowledge and expertise has been a wonderful asset to the practice.
With Marci, you will find someone who is caring and sensitive to the needs of the patient and the patient's family. Whether it's delivering the news to parents of a newly diagnosed infant with hearing loss, or delivering hearing aids to an elderly parent, Marci will be nurturing and knowledgeable. Marci recognizes that patients rely on her to provide accurate and up-to-date information in the areas of auditory research and hearing aid science. For that reason, she is embarking on the journey for board certification in audiology. Continuing education is critical in the field of audiology and to the valued trust in the doctor-patient relationship.
Marci resides in South Brunswick, NJ with her husband and two children.
