What Is Lenire?
Lenire is an innovative treatment device offered at our hearing center in New Jersey. By utilizing soothing sounds and gentle pulses on the tongue, Lenire helps individuals pay less attention to their tinnitus, providing relief and improving their overall quality of life.
How Does Lenire Work?
At the core of Lenire's effectiveness is its bimodal neuromodulation technology. The device delivers mild pulses to the tongue, combined with sound played through Bluetooth headphones. These customized sounds activate the auditory nerve, sending signals to the brain to divert attention away from tinnitus. The Tonguetip, a specially designed component of Lenire, fits comfortably in the mouth and features tiny electrodes that deliver these mild and safe pulses to the surface of the tongue.
Controlling and personalizing the treatment is made simple with Lenire's lightweight handheld device, known as the Controller. Users have the ability to start, pause, and resume the treatment session, adjust the volume of the sound, and control the level of tongue stimulation. What Is the Research Behind Lenire?
Lenire's effectiveness is backed by extensive research and FDA approval. In fact, it is the first device of its kind to receive FDA clearance for the treatment of tinnitus. This achievement follows a large-scale clinical trial designed to meet the FDA's rigorous requirements.
During the trial, 83% of patients recommended Lenire as an effective treatment option for tinnitus. These results were also consistent with real-world evidence from 204 patients.
